Is “Treatment Tourism” to your Surbiton Chiropractic Clinic really a thing?

Yes. Although we are based locally in Surbiton and the majority of our patients are local, many patients travel from across the UK and overseas specifically to access our advanced disc injury care.

They come for our combination of specialist spinal decompression technology, evidence-based disc rehabilitation and cutting-edge techniques such as Adhesion Release Methods. Our principal chiropractor is one of only 39 clinicians worldwide currently practising this advanced scar-tissue treatment, making our clinic a destination for patients who have not found lasting relief elsewhere.

A growing facet of our clinic is now treating patients travelling from afar. Many of these patients stay locally for a week at a time to complete an intensive treatment block before returning home.

Do I need a GP referral to see a chiropractor in Surbiton?

No, you don’t need a GP referral to visit The DISC Chiropractors in Surbiton. Patients can book directly online or by phone without waiting for an NHS referral.
However, many local GPs — including those at Claremont Medical Centre, Surbiton Health Centre, and Berrylands Medical Practice — regularly refer patients to us for advanced spinal assessment and non-surgical care.
We also accept self-referrals for digital X-ray imaging, allowing us to identify the cause of your pain quickly and develop a precise treatment plan.
Our goal is to work alongside your GP, ensuring continuity of care for conditions such as sciatica, slipped discs, and chronic spinal pain.

Do You Only Treat Disc Injuries at The DISC Chiropractors?

Not at all! While The DISC Chiropractors in Surbiton is nationally recognised for disc injury rehabilitation, we are a full-service, top-to-toe, chiropractic clinic providing care for the entire spine and musculoskeletal system.
Our focus on disc health began after our Clinic Director personally experienced a severe disc injury, inspiring the development of our advanced, non-surgical spinal protocols.
Every patient receives a comprehensive assessment — including in-house digital X-ray imaging where needed — so we can accurately diagnose the root cause of pain.
If advanced decompression or laser therapy isn’t necessary, we provide traditional chiropractic treatments to restore joint mobility, improve posture, and relieve back, neck, or nerve-related pain safely and effectively.
Whether you’re suffering from a slipped disc, sciatica, neck tension, postural strain, or everyday back pain, our Surbiton chiropractors tailor every care plan to your goals — combining technology, clinical experience, and hands-on care for lasting results.

I was very impressed with everything, from the ease of booking, availability of appointment times, and the reception when I arrived. Nicole was very thorough, professional and personable and put me at my ease and I had nothing but complete confidence in her and her ability.
